Granville Island
One of the many good things about Vancouver is how places are easily within reach from each other. The transportation system works well and covers the entire downtown area, although I prefer walking downtown. And known also as ‘Raincouver’ finding a good spot to hang out during those wet gloomy days is essential here and one good place for a rainy day is the Granville Island Market.
Granville Island can be easily accessed from the core of downtown Vancouver, a walk across the Granville Bridge brings you to Granville Island in less than an hour. And it is a worthy walk.
Granville Island carries bakeries, souvenir stores, restaurants, delis and more. I would often find myself coming here on a rainy day.
